The Irish Hotels Federation

The Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) is the national organisation of the hotel and guesthouse sector in Ireland. Founded in 1937, it represents almost 1,000 hotels and guesthouses countrywide, which together employ over 57,000 people.

The IHF is a key stakeholder in the Irish tourism industry which (pre-pandemic, latest figures available) supported 270,000 livelihoods equating to 1-in-10 of all Irish jobs. More than 65,000 of these jobs are in the hotel sector alone.

With support from Fáilte Ireland, the IHF has produced this website and the magazine, Get a Life in Tourism, to highlight the many exciting career opportunities in Irish tourism.
